Decks Rails and Fences
Decks and rails are area's of the home that get the most weather and UV (utra violet rays), unless there is a covered proch where the weather is not an issue. Media blasting is one way to remove the delapidated finishes on your deck, however, on a redwood deck this can result in too much material being removed and having to sand much more than desired. Sanding with floor sanders and palm sanders is a preferable method because we can control the amount of material being removed. The staining process is like that of the logs and require maintenance just like them.
This deck was refinished with only clear.
Not recommended because they require much
more maintenance and no UV protection.
