About Us
Our company started in response to the growing number of homeowners frustrated in their attempt to achieve and maintain the desired look of their dream log homes. Homeowners, like yourself, were very excited to see their home become a reality through the staining process until a few years later they realized that no one was around to keep their home looking like it did when it was first finished.
From the corn cob or walnut blasting process to the maintenance program we take pride in treating each home as if it were our own. We help you determine the maintenance program that best fits you and your home. Every project is looked at as a whole considering each part of the home to be significant; decks, log railings, doors, windows, fascia, soffit, cedar roof, cedar siding, and logs. When considering your home for restoration or new construction staining and maintenance we can help you determine what aspects need to be addressed and assist you in that process.
The Log Home Restoration process is one that should be considered carefully. We strive to offer the expert advise that will help you deside what fits your lifestyle. There are many things to consider when restoring, blasting, staining, chinking, and caulking your home.
- First-The media blasting process is for removing delapidated finishes which leaves the wood fibers sticking up and needs to be taken off.
- Second-This process is done by sanding to remove the fibers and so the stain will penetrate the wood like it is suppose to.
- Third-The wood needs to be protected. Staining is done to protect the wood.
- Fourth-Chinking and Caulking. This process should be done after the house has been stained. Chinking fills the void between the logs for many reasons. Caulking is done to seal the cracks in the logs to reduce moisture, fly and air infiltration.
